Bible Study Groups - Start the week beginning Feb 6th! Sign up sheets are on the notice board. Make sure you belong to one!
Women’s Daytime Bible Study – Starts Thursday 8th February. There will not be a council worker for creche this year, but a roster for creche duties. We are also looking for anyone who can help with creche – might be able to pay for uni students looking for part time work.
Men’s Katoomba Convention: A group of men will be going on Saturday, 25th February from St. Barnabas. See Denis Wu for details at the 10:30am Sunday service
Monthly midweek Prayer Book Service - 11am, Tuesday 28th February followed by lunch. It is intended to introduce two pillars of Anglicanism – The Thirty Nine Articles and the Book of Homilies. Many folk know little about these spiritual gold mines from past centuries which we have inherited. All welcome.
Church Contact Book & Serving in Love form – Please complete the form if you would like to be in our bi-yearly Church Contact Book and/or can serve the church in various ways. Place completed forms in the box at the back of church by 12 Feb. Photos for the Contact Book will be taken at church in the next few weeks or you can put your photo in the box with your form.
SMBC Hot Topics – SMBC are running talks on various topics such as, Is technology ruining Bible reading?, Science versus Christianity?, Singleness, Understanding Roman Catholicism, Angels, Sickness. Choose a topic with some friends or even organise to go with your Bible study group. Wednesday nights, fortnightly from 8th Feb, $15 each topic if you pre-register. Moore PTC – a correspondence course for anyone wanting to learn more about the Bible. It is on ‘Introduction to the Bible’. Commences 1st March & goes for 10 weeks. Enrol by 15th Feb: $85 for adults, $50 for concession. You can meet up once a week to discuss the set topic for that particular week. Please speak to Peter if you are interested.
EQUIP Women 12: Early bird offer of $52 ends on Tuesday, 7 February. Register at www.equip.org.au. The EQUIP women’s conference this year will be focusing on 2 Peter 3: Heaven is Waiting and there will be some great talks from Lisa Thompson, Di Warren and many others. Please collect a brochure from the foyer to find out more or see Susan at 10:30am Sunday service.
Tiny Tunes-Play and Music Time – Tiny Tunes will be starting again this Monday the 6th Feb. We have changed the program a little for this year in the hope of attracting more people from the local community. We meet every Monday of the school term at Bossley Park from 10-12. Any 0-5 aged child and their carer are welcome to join. Please come yourself or invite your friends.
